Academic and work modifications are available for those who have experienced pregnancy, childbirth, loss of pregnancy, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, lactation, and related medical conditions.
While pregnancy is not a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), students and employees with serious pregnancy-related health conditions or conditions that constitute a disability, including complications that arise postpartum or exacerbation of an existing impairment due to pregnancy, may be eligible for reasonable accommodations and services. Students with accommodations needs will be referred to the Accessible Education Center (AEC). And employees with accommodations needs will be referred to Workplace ADA.
